Artist Michael Buckley is a long-time IM/BHT reader and he has created a wonderful artistic representation of post-evangelicalism just for the IM banner. It’s meaningful, true and beautiful. The large version is available here for you to enjoy.
Thank you, Michael. You are a great friend to me and to the IM community.
Wow . . . I could have sworn that that’s a certain street in Seattle (where I live). Not so much the look – though at first glance there is some resemblance – but what it conveys.

I see a historic old church building that needs love and renovation, in an area that I sure wouldn’t like to live. The backdrop reminds me of the outskirts of Chicago.

As a mainliner, it reminds me of a lot of mainline churches I’ve been to where the neighborhood changed and the church didn’t adapt.
Very good depiction.

That liquor shop right there on the left side is all the ammunition your critics need to blast you as being of the devil.
Great design. I love it.

Not really about “interpretation.” It’s art. Captures the mood and direction of this site: Evangelicalism as we knew it is over.
What do you see?

Stunning is the word.
As I said over on the BHT, I love it. It reminds me of Richard Linklater’s A Scanner Darkly.
