I had nothing but respect for Captain Ron as a player. As a broadcaster, his passion and enthusiasm almost made me a Cubs fan. He will be missed.

A travesty Santo is not in the Hall of Fame.

Thanks Mike. As a fan of the Big Red Machine, I recall great battles between the Reds and the Cubs back in the late 60s-1970s. Santo was truly a giant, as a player and as a person.
